Customer testimonials for the DH-10 Boat and RV Dehumidifier

Note that the testimonials here are for the DH-5.  The DH-5 and DH-10 are essentially the same with the DH-10 being the newest revision of the DH-5.   Two major improvements were made see "whats new" for more details.

"Fast delivery and the best price I could find.

The dehumidifier has stopped the growth of mildew in my new boat. I have recommended eDehumidifier.com to my boating friends and to my RV friends. I may also buy one for my motorhome."

"Very satisfied with the dehumidifier. We camp on the Oregon Coast and use it in our motorhome to keep the "rain clouds" inside at bay. It sits nicely on the back bathroom vanity and drains right into the sink. Also, I am a diver, and after washing my gear, I can store the wet gear in the cuddy cabin of our boat, and the dehumidifier will dry everything."

I have a 34 foot sailboat in Ventura Harbor and sail it weekly. Ventura is

blessed with a year round boating climate and a nearby wonderful cruising

ground, the Channel Islands. We are also cursed with summer fog. The marine

layer gets very thick for weeks at a time and humidity is often in the 90%

range.

Shortly after moving here from a much dryer Utah, I noticed mold growth on

my teak interior. I decided to do something about it; I invested in several

"flying saucer" type air driers and used them with no success. Finally I

decided to get serious; I washed the moldy areas with 10% bleach solution,

ran a heater and then bought a DH-5-1 dehumidifier. Bringing my inside

humidity down to 45% meant kept the mold away for good and for 2 years my

DH-5-1 has been faithfully doing its job.

I ran the drain hose to my sink and never have to worry about empting a

drain pan. The humidity dial lets me choose the dryness level inside the

boat. I keep the stainless finish clean and shiny with a light cleaning of

WD40. I would highly recommend the DH-5-1 and eDehumidifer.com as the place

to get one. They were all you could hope for in an internet company.

This is one Happy customer writing. I purchased my marine DH-5-1 dehumidifier in the spring of 2006 for my 35 foot cruiser. At that time I was a snowbird in Florida and had to leave my boat, unattended on its lift, over the summer.

I was very concerned that the Southwest Florida summer rains would cause a humidity problem in the cabin/salon area. Your unit ran without failure. After five months I returned to find the boat in great shape. Your product does all you said it will do. I was so impressed I referred a canal neighbor to your company and now they too have peace of mind in keeping their vessel dry within.

May your "Sails" be up for 2007.

I am pleased to confirm that I am completely satisfied with both my DH-5-1
Dehumidifier and your firm's services in selling and delivering the unit to
me.

I have used the unit on two sailboats to prevent mould from starting and to
keep the humidity down generally within the boats. My 53 ft Beneteau has air
conditioning but the water collected by the A/C winds up in the bilge which
stays wet even with an automatic bilge pump. Also the electric bill for the
A/C is much higher than with the DH-5-1 which also has the advantage of not
needing a supply of cooling water inviting clogging of the A/C water filters
over time.

The unit keeps the interior of a 53 foot sailboat dry in a very humid
climate.

Sincerely

We purchased an eDehumidifier last year. We are living a board in the Pacific NW. The unit preformed as advertised keeping Stargazer dryer and this intern lowered our fuel consumption on our diesel heater by 2/3.

Great product

"I have used the dehumidifier to assist in keeping odors and mold under
control on my boat in Vero Beach Florida. The boat is normally on a lift
out of the water and periodically I visit Florida and check to see if the
dehumidifier is functioning properly. Fortunately it always has and I
generally leave the humidity at something under 60%. With the high
temperature in the 90's during the day many times during the year and down
into the 50's during the winter, everything has worked well and the cabin
has stayed fresh. My only criticism is that I wish the drainage tray had
more of a slope since some of the moisture doesn't drain completely out of
the tube. I'd prefer it drained more positively into the drain. I
certainly do not have any reservations in recommending the product, which I
consider a premium dehumidifier."

In the winter months in our northwest climate our 28 foot sloop remains

afloat in the marina, but seldom leaves the slip. We found it unpleasant to

be aboard in the damp and black mold was growing everywhere on interior

surfaces. It was a thoroughly unpleasant environment. Then we installed

our dehumidifier. Since then we have had a dry and warm cabin where I often

enjoy a quiet afternoon aboard. The DH-5-1 is a neat and efficient unit

that has made all the difference in the use of our boat for much of the

year.

My 30 ft. Boston Whaler with cuddy cabin is berthed at the Royal Jamaica

Yacht Club, Kingston, Jamaica. You are all no doubt aware that in the

tropics, one of the problems that boat owners battle with is humidity and

mildew.

At first I tried on of those machines, which blow ions into the air. It

kept away the mildew but within six months the unit stopped working and I

chucked it out and replaced it just over a year ago with the DH-5-1

eDehumidifier.

The DH-5-1 has worked non-stop without a problem. There is no sign of

mildew and the cabin is always dry and fresh. This is a robust trouble free

unit, which every owner of a small boat with a cabin should consider

purchasing.

While I bought the DH-5-1 dehumidifier for my boat for use in the most

humid months, I also use it in the basement the rest of the year. I am

very impressed with the no nonsense quality of the unit.

And I also like the fact that it is US made. You don't see many things

built the way this unit is these days.

I keep a boat in the water in FL during the summer when I am up north. With
the eDehumidifier I was am able to leave everything on the boat for the
summer (including the cushions) instead of removing almost everything to the
condo for storage to avoid mold and mildew. Upon my arrival last fall I had
no moisture, mold, mildew or odor.

This spring I contracted with a new "watch person" to check on the interior
and exterior of the boat once a month during the summer. Upon seeing the
eDehumidifier he commented, "Oh, you have one of those! Four of my customers
have them and they have absolutely no moisture all summer."

I work less moving stuff and worry less when I hear about rain, storms and
humidity in Southwest Florida.

I purchased the DH-5-1 as a replacement for a larger and much heavier unit that was used to keep my motorhome dry and mildew free during periods of storage in Florida's long hot and humid summers. Because the DH-5-1 is portable and light it is very easy to put into, or remove from the motor home as required. I simply set the unit over the sink so that it drains there rather than requiring a drain hose to the outside as my old unit did. The DH-5-1 has also used to improve the sleeping environment on nights when the air conditioner does not run enough to properly dehumidify the coach interior. This is great product.
